Springs & Hardware
A crooked door is a hardware door. One cable has stretched or slipped, a drum has let go, or a spring on one side has weakened. These are the parts we look at first, and the services here put them right.

Which one do I need?
- A roller near the top corner is riding on the lip of the track rather than inside it, and the section above leans back a little more each week.Garage Door Roller Replacement
- The roller at the top of the second panel is leaning outward and only half of the wheel is still in the track.Garage Door Hinge Replacement
- Halfway up, the door lurches and one roller rides onto the lip of the channel.Garage Door Track Repair or Replacement
- The cable has wrapped itself around the shaft above the door instead of sitting on its drum.Garage Door Cable Replacement
- You heard a sharp bang from the garage, and now the opener hums for a second and gives up.Torsion Spring Replacement
- One of the springs beside the track is hanging loose at the front end, its pulley dangling, and a length of cable lies slack along the top of the door.Extension Spring Replacement

What the winter left behind
In this climate the foot of the track is where trouble collects. Slush and salt carried in on the tires settle in the bottom few inches, freeze overnight into ridges and leave a brine that attacks steel. The technician looks for corrosion on the bottom rollers and their stems, rust on the bottom brackets, ice damage or flat spots on wheels that have been skidding rather than turning, and the state of the lifting cables that share that wet corner.
Finding salt damage here steers the recommendation toward sealed-bearing rollers and a thorough track cleaning, and occasionally toward new bottom brackets as well.
